“COMPKATO
in Concert”
Popular Music Group from Mexicali performs
Danzon,
Cumbia, Rock, Ballads, Classic Rock and Boleros!
The Cultural Council of Yuma is pleased to
present “COMPAKTO in Concert at The Historic
Yuma Theatre on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 7:00
pm. This international cultural exchange concert
strengthens the relationship between art
organizations and artists in the Yuma/Mexico
border region.
The Concert will feature COMPAKTO Popular Music
Group from Mexicali. This music group has been
distinguished for its versatile ways in style
and music. Its members graduated from the School
of Fine Arts in Mexicali, they have an extensive
musical and performance background participating
in many cultural activities for more than 20
years. The members of COMPAKTO: Gilberto Ojeda,
Jose Antonio Ojeda, Karen Micheell Ojeda, Rene
Rodriguez and Hiojana Carrillo have broad
performance experience in different artistic
activities such as theatrical plays, recitals,
concerts, folkloric dances, trios and
international cultural exchanges.
Tickets Pre-sale $5.00; at the door $10.00
general admission, tickets are available at The
Yuma Art Center from Tuesday thru Saturday from
10:00am to 5:00pm, Friday from 10:00am to 7:00pm
and Sunday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. One hour
before the show tickets will be sold in the
ticket stand for $10.00 general admission.
