Outside the City…North
San Diego County Offers a New Business Meeting Experience!
By Joan Burns, CSEP
Have a Meeting and have a view, too! Consider North San Diego
County for you next Business Conference or Meeting. With plenty
of meeting space and a diverse selection of accommodations there
is no reason not to enjoy what the area has to offer. Just
decide which view will suit you, ocean, mountains or valleys.
From
the Exhibit Hall at the Del Mar Fairgrounds with over 55,000
square feet of space to an intimate conference room just steps
away from the Oceanside Pier, from the elegance of the Four
Seasons Resort in Carlsbad to the rustic beauty of the Hidden
Valley Retreat and Spa Conference Center in Escondido, any
Meeting Professional will find a venue to meet their needs and
accomplish their meeting goals.
North San
Diego County is easy to get to. The area is almost half way
between the San Diego International Airport and Orange County
John Wayne Airport. Palomar Airport in Carlsbad can accommodate
private jets and offers connections to LAX via United Airlines.
Rail service is available through Amtrak and the North County
Transit District’s Coaster going North and South and by the
Sprinter East and West. And if you are a sailor by nature you
can sail your group to the Oceanside Harbor!
Meeting facilities include:
The
California Center for the Arts with a 1500 seat Concert Hall
and a 408 Theater on site.
The
Mission San Luis Rey offering a tranquil environment for
corporate retreats and brainstorming.
The
Quantum Learning Center in Oceanside is a 42,000 square feet
facility with meeting space for up to 200.
And don’t
forget the Teambuilding! From hang gliding off the Torrey Pines
Cliffs in La Jolla to Regatta Sailing from the Oceanside Harbor,
teams will be excited to participate. What about surf lessons
instead of the ‘board” room? Take a hike in the mountains or
hold a scavenger hunt at a historic Spanish Ranch…it is all in
North San Diego County. Conduct a mini Boot Camp with the
Marines at MCB Camp Pendleton!
Take the
meeting off-site with an exotic dinner at the Wild Animal Park.
Plan a reception at one of the beautiful museums or have a
dinner aboard a yacht.

Our Mission: "Big Blend Magazine is a company based on the belief that education is the most formidable weapon that can be waged against fear, ignorance and prejudice.
It is our belief that education starts at
home and branches outward. Education leads to travel, and
travel leads to understanding, tolerance, and appreciation
of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately
to world peace. Our company is further based on the
principle that networking, communication, and helping others
to promote and market themselves leads to financial
stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel,
and the spirit of giving back to the community."
