Special Events Performance Series

Performance Series:
Held at 7:30pm, at WNMU Fine Arts Center Theater in Silver City, New Mexico.
Tickets: Member-$15; Non-Member-$20; Adults at the Door-$20; Students-$10; Children-$5.

May 3: Santa Fe Opera: One of the company’s most popular outreach programs brings a fully staged opera and a free public concert each year to thousands of adults and students throughout New Mexico and beyond. This year Deborah Selig, Lucia Cervoni, Edwin Vega, and John David Boehr, along with pianist and music director Kirt Pavitt presented a new one-hour work by composer John Kennedy

May 23-25: Blues Festival: Featuring blues bands and musicians in concert including Guitar Slim; Edie and the Silver Blue Roots; Big Pete Pearson & Rhythm Room Allstars; Sherman Robertson; Albuquerque Blues Connection; Zac Harmon; Alex Maryol; Chris Dracup; John Mooney; Jen Exten Trio, Pat Dutton & Pat Chase; and Marie Knight. Other festivities include a Saturday Jam Session at the Buffalo Dance Hall; and Downtown Gallery Studio Tours on Sunday, May 25, from 10:00am - 1:00pm. All Gough Park main events and The Yankie Street Dances are FREE. June 21: Millie & Billy Ball: Celebrating Silver City’s historical characters ‘Billy the Kid’ and ‘Madame Millie’, the whole town dresses up for this unique occasion, two-steppin’ to great music at the Buffalo Dance Hall.
Sept. 13-14: Pickamania! Celebrating folk, bluegrass and Americana acoustic musical traditions in beautiful southwest New Mexico. Live concerts featuring Hill Billy Voodoo; Bayou Seco; a Band Scramble; Boulder Acoustic Society; Chatham County Line; Gypsy Feet Band; Ana Egge; Steve Smith & Hard Road; Red Molly; and Robin & Linda Williams and Their Fine Group.
