See it - Smell It – Taste It! Come Savor the Finest Microbrews at Telluride Blues & Brews, held September 12-14, in Telluride, Colorado!

Beer connoisseurs rejoice!  It’s time for the 15th Annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and Grand Tasting. The festival, which takes place September 12-14, will host the Grand Tasting on Saturday, September 13, 2008, from Noon - 3:00 pm on festival grounds.  Featuring more than 150 beers from 53 of the finest microbreweries in the country, the Grand Tasting is quickly becoming a favorite tasting event for beer lovers.

During the Grand Tasting, all of the microbreweries compete in the Best of Fest competition, sponsored by Draft Magazine.  Last year’s Best of Fest winner, Sweetwater Brewing Company has had its share of wins in major beer competitions.  In addition to Best of Fest trophies in 2005 and 2007, this stellar microbrewery has taken home awards and medals from GABF and World Beer Cup competitions.  Sweetwater isn’t the only award winner attending Telluride Blues & Brews; many of the participating breweries have also taken home their share of awards from the World Beer Cup, Great American Beer Festival (GABF), North American Brewers Association (NABA) and World Beer Championships.

Throughout the weekend, get your fill of cream of the barrel brews at the House of Brews Tent.  The Telluride Blues & Brews Official Beer Sponsor, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, along with Great Divide Brewing Co., Oskar Blues Brewery, Ska Brewing Company and Smuggler’s Brewpub & Grill, will all be serving their finest brews for festival goers.
