Town/City Overview

St. George is southern Utah’s largest city. It sits at an elevation of 2860 feet above sea level, and has a rapidly growing population of over 50,000 people. Residents and visitors alike, enjoy an average rainfall of only about 8 inches a year, giving the city plenty of days of sunshine to take advantage of all there is to offer. The summer temperatures average between 80 to 100 degrees, and the moderate winters along with the pristine golf courses, first class medical facilities, well respected colleges, modern airport and many lodging choices have combined to make St. George one of the most popular retirement resort communities in the United States, along with being the fastest growing city in Utah. There are plenty of activities to enjoy including visiting Zion National Park, which is just 43 miles northeast of St. George.
