About Salt Lake City, Utah
Salt Lake City was founded in July of 1847 by about 150 Mormon pioneers led by Brigham Young, in search for a place to practice their beliefs that was free from persecution. When they happened upon the valley, Brigham Young immediately knew that this was the place. Within days of arriving, the soil was tilled, crops were planted, and plans for the city were discussed.

Boasting over 180,000 full time residents, Salt Lake City sits 4330 feet above sea level offering average summer temperatures of 86/64 degrees, about 16 inches of rain per year, 59 inches of winter snow, and over 535 inches of dry powder only 40 minutes away from the downtown in the Wasatch Range, where there is world class skiing at 4 major ski resorts. Within 200-250 miles away, there are 5 National Parks including Yellowstone, offering all of the outdoor activities you need, and with over 20,000 hotel rooms in the city’s district, visitors have plenty of places to stay while enjoying the sites.

Our Mission: Our Mission: "Big Blend Magazine is a company based on the belief that education is the most formidable weapon that can be waged against fear, ignorance and prejudice.
It is our belief that education starts at home and branches outward. Education leads to travel, and travel leads to understanding, tolerance, and appreciation of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately to world peace. Our company is further based on the principle that networking, communication, and helping others to promote and market themselves leads to financial stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel, and the spirit of giving back to the community."
