About Reedley, California
The Kings River winds through Reedley, providing a natural beach and
a beautiful park like setting offering plenty of fishing, swimming,
boating, and picnicking opportunities. There are several golf
courses serving the community, and within driving distance are the
scenic Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the Kings Canyon and Sequoia
National Parks, boasting their scenic beauty and majestic Redwood
and Sequoia forests. Reedley is home to over 22,000 residents and
has a convenient and central location in the San Joaquin Valley,
just hours away from Yosemite, the Monterey Peninsula, and the
Pacific Ocean. The valley is still considered the richest
agricultural area in the world, and predominately relies on what is
produced from the land; but the mild climate and scenery are a
tourist’s delight attracting a number of visitors every year. The
downtown district is host to a number of annual events including a
Street Fair, the Taste of the Town, an Electric Farm Equipment
Parade in December, and a summer Farmer’s Market. Reedley’s River
City Theatre Company also presents plays and performances at the
Historic 1903 Opera House.
