Cat Haven, tigersProject Survival's
Cat Haven

Founded in 1993 with the purchase of 100 scenic acres just west of King's Canyon National Park, the Cat Haven offers guided tours of some of the rarest cats in the world.   It also promotes grass-root level support for range country conservation through Project Survival, a 501 (c) (3) sister organization.

Project Survival's Cat Haven is an innovative park dedicated to the preservation of wild cats. It specializes in education and is engaged in both captive and range country conservation. It is this link to the conservation of cats in their native habitat which makes the work of the Cat Haven especially meaningful. The facility is not a rescue organization. The wild cats which come here are chosen carefully for their contributions to education and conservation. The facility offers guided tours where visitors can enjoy an hour long educational walk along a ¼ mile wooded trail in the company of a trained tour guide. It is an opportunity to visit, photograph and learn about some of the rarest and most beautiful animals in the world. School groups are particularly welcome. Cat species you will see at Cat Haven include Amur Leopard, Bobcat, Caracal, Cheetahs, Clouded Leopard, Dark Leopard, Jaguar, Jaguarundi, Lion, Persian Leopard, Siberian Lynx, Snow Leopard, and Tiger.

Dale Anderson, Founder & Director of Project Survival’s Cat Haven was a featured guest on SouthwestBlend.com’s ‘Champagne Sundays’ Online Radio Show. This show was a special Nature & Wildlife show and aired live on April 6th, 2008. To listen to the entire, unedited show, please click here.
