Somewhere in the Distance
by Rainy Night CD available on
www.SouthwestFetish.com
Aaron Lowery - Drums
Kim Wright - Bass guitar, vocals
Brian Wright - Lead guitar, vocals
This CD is a selection of originals songs written by Brian and Kim Wright and performed by their band, Rainy Night out of Shasta, Ca. It is a mixture of soft and hard rock with passionate lyrics set to songs with an easy listening style. This is an up and coming band to watch for. The vocals are strong and pleasing and the lead guitarist has some definite moments of inspiration.

Walking Home by Highland Way

Brian Caldwell - vocals, guitar, bodhran
Heloise Love - vocals, guitar, percussion
Richard Gordon Heinz - vocals, bass, keyboards
Patric Petrie - fiddle
Paul Castallanos - mandolin, fiddle, banjo
This is a nice mix of traditional Celtic songs and this talented bands originals. The clarity of their voices ring true with that haunting feel of the Celtic lands set off by uncluttered arrangements. Each musician has an opportunity to showcase their particular talents both vocally and instrumentally. It ranges from stirring ballads to selections that make you want to get up and dance. You can definitely feel the "old world" calling you. We have had the pleasure of watching this band at the San Diego Scottish Games & Gathering of Clans and highly recommend you catch them live. A favorite at the "Games" is their original "These Highland Games."

Celtic Love Songs by Susan Craig Winsberg
CD available on www.CraigRecords.com
Susan Craig Winsberg - flutes, whistles
Kathleen Fisher- vocals
Christa Burch- vocals
Laura Browne Sorenson- vocals, bodhran
Megan Buchanan - vocals
In Susan Winsberg’s desire to show all sides of the Celtic life, she has set several of her favorite poems to music, giving them a new life. Some selections embrace the darker side of the tough Highland life, and others are passionate love ballads. Susan branches out and experiments with Celtic music. Some songs stay traditional and others have a definite jazz feel. She is a master of modern and traditional flutes, recorders and whistles. Her virtuosity is nicely surrounded with clean vocals and soft instrumentals. Celtic Love Songs is all about representing love, whether it be romantic, familial or love of country, in different shades of musical color. Visit her website to purchase the CD.
