Birmingham Alabama's Premier Blues & Soul Singer
In the
short time that Erin Mitchell has been on the Southeastern music
scene, she has made quite an impact. Establishing herself as
Birmingham’s premier blues and soul singer, she consistently
delivers energetic, musically sharp performances. Being relatively
new to the music business, she has already achieved the credibility
of a veteran entertainer, delivering the goods time and time again.
Her passion to perform fuels her drive to succeed, and it’s evident
in every note she sings.
Erin
takes her musical cues from the greats of the blues, soul, and roots
musical genres. She is flattered to be compared to the great Janis
Joplin and Etta James, and aspires to reach the harmonious sounds of
Eva Cassidy. She hopes to one day develop into the full package
singer, songwriter, and player as her heroes Susan Tedeschi, and
Patty Griffin. She is already on her way to her goal, penning two
original compositions for her self-titled debut album which was
released May 2009.
With a
roster of Birmingham’s finest musicians at her disposal, she can
craft a show to any occasion. From an intimate duo performance, to
a big band musical celebration, she will captivate an audience.
From exciting new original music, to craftily engineered cover, Erin
Mitchell is a powerfully potent mix of Blues and Soul presented in a
