Lucky Blarney Night - Around the world, and across time, people have gathered for storytelling. On March 13, storytellers will be telling tales of Luck and Blarney to celebrate St. Patrick's Day for an all ages audience. All of the storytellers have local popularity, and some of the tellers are nationally, and internationally known.  This will be held at The First Lutheran Church in Vista, CA.

St. Patrick's Day - the History & Traditions
St. Patrick's Day, March 17, is in honor of Ireland's patron saint, Patrick.  He was born in Scotland near the end of the fourth century. Irish raiders captured Patrick when he was around 16 years old. He was taken to Ireland as a slave, and worked as a shepherd. Apparently it was then that he turned to religion for solace, becoming a devout Christian.
