Highland Way, Celtic music bandHighland Way
California’s Celtic Music Sensation

“Highland Way is California's newest Celtic music sensation performing at numerous festivals, Burns Suppers, concerts... and Highland Games. With their superb blend of vocals, instrumentation, and unique arrangements, Highland Way is one of the most acclaimed on the Southern California circuit. Members of the group have appeared on local and national television, (including The Donny & Marie Show) as well as enjoyed numerous and enthusiastic write-ups in various print media.
Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, the charismatic lead vocalist Brian Caldwell is well known for his energetic and driving rhythm guitar...and his wonderful ability to charm any crowd. Arranger, vocalist, and talented instrumentalist, Richard Gordon Heinz is the musical foundation of the band. Paul Graham Castellanos, master of an incredible array of stringed instruments, adds a vibrant cross section of sound from animated Celtic fiddle to classical guitar. Completing the quartet is Heloise Love. A gifted solo artist in her own right, her angelic lead vocals and sultry harmonies round out this incredible mix of musical talent.”

Highland Way Live in San DiegoAlbum Review: ‘Highland Way Live in San Diego’

“There’s something extra special about an album that is recorded live, and this one is no exception. It’s packed with everything that Highland Way is so popular for - delicious dynamics, beautiful harmonies, flawless and extraordinary musicianship, and a rollicking good time! The only thing missing on this album is a good pint - so, sit down and pour yourself one and enjoy as Highland Way opens the show with a powerful performance of ‘Fiery Cross’, takes you on ‘The Rocky Road to Dublin’, leads you down the ‘Streets of London’, has you singing at the top of your lungs to ‘I’m Gonna be (500 miles)’, then marches you across the highlands to their original and energetic ‘These Highland Games.’ They tell a good story with songs like ‘The Queen of Argyle’ and ‘Take Her in Your Arms’, and if you’re homesick for a little tradition, you’ll love their renditions of ‘The Wild Mountain Thyme’, ‘Danny Boy’, and ‘Flowers o’ Edinburgh’.
With this new album, there’s only one way for Highland Way to go – and that’s up!” Lisa D. Smith, Southwest Blend Magazine.
