This neighborhood coffee house features top-notch coffees and superior desserts, such as mouth watering, peach cobbler, sweet potato pie, bread pudding, lemon bars, pecan bars, boysenberry cheesecake bars, lemon cake and delicious pound cake. And don't forget your lunch; try our fresh sandwiches, soups and salads.
  We also offer the following weekly specials; Gumbo, Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, and a Sidewalk BBQ on Saturdays. You are guaranteed to satisfy your appetite for fine additive desserts, coffees and foods. And for the office we can provide you with a coffee service; which would include your Joe-on-the-go, breakfast scones, coffee cake, bagels, croissants and specialty coffees and teas. Let us cater your next office meeting, breakfast, lunch or special event.
  Coffee drinks are a specialty, and the variations include seductive titles like 'Cara Mia' (Espresso, steamed milk, vanilla & caramel), our best seller, Caff' Mocha (espresso, steamed milk, & chocolate), Hot Chocolate (chocolate & steamed milk), Sausalito (hot chocolate with cinnamon and vanilla), Frappacino,
Cappuccino, Chai Tea Latte, and many more.
  In the midst of a number of diverse restaurants, nail shops, salons, drive thru eateries and a carwash, Desserts by Design will be the coffee and dessert choice for many. We will welcome our guests to jazz night, and open microphone nights, where they can read poetry or enjoy the poetry of others, singing and the atmosphere. This coffee house will seat approximately 20 or more people comfortably along with seating outside where you can enjoy the California sunshine or starry nights.
  Our main goal is to elevate the pallets of the ordinary coffee drinker, by adding to our lineup an herb called 'Chicory'. You can experience healthy coffee drinking. Chicory has medicinal uses that cross every household in America. Imagine, sipping on a warm cup of brew and enjoying the natural benefits of healing the body and soul.   The owners of this establishment are Michael and Linda Sanders who are residents of the City of Long Beach, and it has been open since November 17, 2003.
