July 13-15: 4^th Annual Baja Rosario Festival: A cultural festival celebrating the founding of the first Dominican mission, Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Viñadaco, by Friar Vicente Mora in July of 1774. The three-day event features rodeos, horse races, nightly dances with live music, a beauty pageant, carnival rides, regional foods, an art exposition and tours of mission sites, museums and other local points of interest. Sept. 27: 29th Annual Fall Rosarito-Ensenada Fun Bicycle Ride: Over 7,500 cyclists participate in this scenic 50-mile ride along the Free Road that starts in downtown Rosarito Beach and finishes in Ensenada with a fiesta from noon-sunset at Plaza Ventana al Mar on the waterfront at the giant flagpole.
