CRUISIN' GRAND- Grand Avenue, Escondido, CA . Friday nights, April–September. 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.On Friday nights a time warp hits downtown Escondido! The streets are filled with strolling people of all ages, while a parade of pre-1970s vintage cars slowly cruise up and down Grand Avenue. All kinds of vintage cars—from American Hot Rods, Classics, Antiques, and Customs—help make seven blocks of Escondido the place to be on Friday nights! THE ESCONDIDO CERTIFIED FARMERS MARKET-Downtown Escondido, Grand Avenue and Broadway, Escondido, CA Open Tuesdays, 2:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m. Downtown Escondido's Certified Farmers Market showcases fresh-picked California-grown fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Friendly vendors also offer local honey, eggs, fresh-roasted nuts, pesto, fresh pasta, gourmet European breads, Julian pies, salsa, tamales, tortillas, pita and humus, cookies, dessert breads, and more. Located in the center of historic downtown, the Farmers Market operates every Tuesday, year-round, at the corner of Grand Avenue and Broadway, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information, call (760) 745-8877. The Farmers Market is sponsored by the Downtown Business Association of Escondido.

Every Thursday: OPEN AIRE MARKET-1868 East Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA. Open Thursdays, 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Be sure to visit the East Valley Association's new Open Aire Market located on the spectacular, new Escondido Charter High School Campus at 1868 East Valley Parkway. The market will be held every Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to provide an additional market opportunity for Escondido residents and visitors. The market features many artisans and vendors selling goods varying from fresh vegetables, bread, grilled chicken to hot tamales, and flowers. A portion of the proceeds benefits Escondido Charter High School. This new market complements the long-running Tuesday Farmer's Market, held on Grand Avenue in Downtown Escondido.
