Evenings on the Plaza: free, family-friendly event series held every Friday, Feb. – Oct.; and every Saturday, May- Sept. Performances on the Janet Leigh (cinema) Plaza and DeCarli Square (Final Fridays, May - September) include professional and community theatre, classical and cultural dance, spoken word, community service events and a variety of live music. In addition, a lively group of street performers, entertain the crowd, and local sports mascots make regular appearances. Open-Air Asian & Farmer's Market: Held every Saturday year-round, under the Crosstown Freeway from 6am-10am. This market has been around since 1979 and is considered one of California's oldest and most successful. It draws nearly 9,000 customers every Saturday and has fresh flavors, produce, herbs, fish and sweets from Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Korea, China and India.

American Legacy: Our National Parks - 35 members and guests of the Plein-Air Painters of America set up their easels in national sites across the country.
