Roach – Weightlifting Powerhouse going to the Olympics 2008 In May
2008, with 228.8 pounds pressed over her 5-foot 2-inch,
117-pound frame, Melanie Roach solidified the dream of a
lifetime. After earning her place on the women's U.S.
Olympic weightlifting team in Atlanta, Roach is poised to
take on the world at the games in Beijing. As one of the
strongest women on the planet it's no wonder that Roach has
gotten so far. After suffering the agony of a serious spine
injury that prevented her from participating in 2000 games
in Sydney, her journey to the Olympics is particularly
astounding, and we are proud to have her as a featured guest

founder and organizer for the Rolex Monterey Historic

From Mountain Biking’s origins on Mount Tamalpais, to the
mountain biker-inspired trail systems in many of the
region’s parks, the San Francisco Bay Area has an incredible
wealth of terrain to explore. In the book ‘Mountain Bike San
Francisco & The Bay Area’ passionate cyclist Skye Kraft has
selected 40 different rides ranging from an easy loop in
Lake Chabot Regional Park to Middle Ridge and Gazos Creek

Joe Wosocki will join us to talk about the opening ofRidge
